Balgowlah Heights house

This house sits on a small site and was too internal and small for a family. The aim was to provide separate living spaces for teenagers, guests and parents. The brief required a large tall living space for a Javanese timber structure. To achieve this, the existing garage was extended in height and a new garage built at a lower level in front with a landscaped garden on its roof. The altered family room opens to an extended courtyard and a rumpus room opens onto a new swimming pool and terrace.
