Robertson house, Naremburn

This house was constructed in 1910 as a simple timber workers cottage occupied by workers of the nearby brick yard.

The house has been added to in two main phases by the current owners and it currently houses the office of Robertson & Hindmarsh Pty Ltd Architects as well as the home of Scott and Jan Robertson.

The additions have been designed to harmonize with the original timber and corrugated iron house but to also provide a sense of light, air and space rather than traditional interiors. The two wings of the additions define a secluded, private garden and the house provides for the separation of the parents and grown-up children's bedrooms.
